LaGuardia Community College Research Program

LaGuardia Community College Research Program

LaGuardia Community College offers undergraduate students an introductory materials science and resources course. A select few of the enrolled students then participate in a research program at Columbia over the following summer.

The students acquire research skills, get laboratory training, perform three major experiments, visit the Advanced Science Research Center (ASRC) clean room, and get access to various research equipment such as scanning electron microscope, spectrometers, and atomic force microscope.

Get Involved

LaGuardia Community College students who are interested in practical research experience can enroll in the Introductory materials science and resources course with Professor John Toland.
