SHAPE - Summer High School Academic Program for Engineers

Columbia Engineering Summer High School Academic Program for Engineers (SHAPE) is a selective summer high school program for rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors. SHAPE is geared toward local students who have demonstrated an interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Each 3-week session offers college-level courses in engineering, which are complemented by electives and workshops.

We were fortunate to have a successful remote program in 2020 and while we are hopeful for a limited in-person component this year, we look forward to offering SHAPE safely as a virtual program in 2021. This will include collaborative work with other students, Columbia undergraduates, and professors as well as hands-on project-based work.

At this time, we are still accepting applications for SHAPE 2021 Session 2: Advanced Robotics. Apply today!

The priority and scholarship deadline is March 25th, 2021 at 11:59pm.
