qLogiX Entertainment

qLogiX Entertainment creates educational tools that help children learn STEM concepts through play. “Play Inspire Explore” is our mantra.

qLogiX Entertainment address three issues: 1) eliminate the social fear associated with learning STEM subjects like mathematics 2) breaking the stereotype that “STEM subjects are exclusively for GEEKS”, and 3) tackle the inadequate representation of women and various ethnicities who pursue STEM. The founding team met at Columbia University while Jennifer Appawu was doing her postdoc (2012) and Shyno Mathew was doing her PhD (Department of Chemical Engineering). They realized the seriousness of the problems facing us in the coming years, 1) about 3 million STEM jobs will go unfulfilled in US by 2020 and 2) according to US Department of Education, the STEM workforce is no more diverse than it was 14 years ago. qLogiX Entertainment wants to change the culture of STEM and the perception of STEM among children.
